Adaptation to climate change by small scale rooibos tea farmers in the Suid Bokkeveld areas, Northern Cape Province

Project Objective/ Description: The project aimed at increasing resilience of small scale rooibos farmers by facilitating a participatory action research process focussing on propagation of wild rooibos and quarterly climate change preparedness workshops. The project initiated that farmers monitor the weekly minimum and maximum temperatures and record these in climate diaries.Research in existing adaptation strategies in the Suid Bokkeveld was also conducted in collaboration with farmers.
